"VOD" Chopper

Last year was a tuff one. In April 06, I lost my mother to cancer. Eight months later, my father passed away from a broken heart after losing the love of his life of 57 years. Laying my parents to rest and reflecting on their lives was bittersweet. Mom and Dad were (are) Christians. I know I will see them again, and that makes me smile.
When I decided to have a custom chopper built, I wanted to share that comfort I feel to anyone who will see this bike. I wanted to paint this bike with the message of hope in the promise of everlasting life.

Isaiah 25: 8, 9 says, (KJV)

He will swallow up death in victory; and the Lord GOD will wipe away tears from off all faces; and the rebuke of His people shall He take away from off all the earth: for the LORD hath spoken [it].

And it shall be said in that day, Lo, this [is] our God; we have waited for Him, and He will save us: this [is] the LORD; we have waited for Him, we will be glad and rejoice in His salvation.
After praying about this project, I went to see Mike Fox, owner of Temecula Valley Choppers and spoke to him about what I wanted to do. He was very supportive with the plan and I placed an order for a Big Bear Chopper Pro Street Sled. He referred me to Seth of Aggressive Designs for the paint. Wow, talk about God bringing people together. Seth is a Christian and his father is a pastor. Seth and I discussed at great length what I wanted painted on the bike. I said I wanted real flames, human skulls and a cross on the tank. He and his staff came up with an incredible design. The ghost skulls are awesome and were placed inside the flames. The cross and lettering took a great deal of time. Total paint time was about 3-4 weeks. The message I wanted painted is the candy red or crimson red as His blood spilled for our sins. The ghost skulls and flames are the death and torment of hell. The cross of salvation is the promise of everlasting life. “V O D”  “Victory over Death.”

I would like to thank Mike Fox, Larry Kane and the awesome techs at Temecula Valley Choppers, California who helped me put the final touches on the bike. And thanks to Seth and the crew at Aggressive Designs for the killer paint work. The message is very clear. People come up to me and ask about the paint theme. What a time to witness and share with strangers the promise of God.
